Each includes Alexa, a digital assistant based on clouds that can detect and decipher real human voices and react in kind. Most Amazon users know the name of the digital assistant by heart, especially if they have an intelligent speaker done by the company. What most people do not consider often, it is the origin of the now familiar voice behind the technology, a company that started with a company in Poland and cried its way to a woman in Boulder, Colorado.
In 2013, one year before the first line of Echo Smart Handlers launched, Amazon bought Ivona Software, a vocal synthesizer company based in Poland. The concepts and technology created for the first time by Ivona have undergone the Foundation of the speech technology activated by the voice of Alexa.
